Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia – TWO stagings scheduled this year

Jakarta, Indonesia – In the effort to create a more comprehensive event spotlighting both innovative trends and the robust market developments across the manufacturing, culinary, and design industry, PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI) – one of Indonesia's leading trade fair organizers, today announced that Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia would be held in two separate editions this year, in May and September 2022.

The 5 th edition of Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia is now scheduled for 18 – 21 May 2022 at JIExpo Kemayoran. The 4-day exhibition will be held alongside Food + Beverage Indonesia, International Indonesia Seafood and Meat, Indonesia Cold Chain Expo, and Chef Expo. As Indonesia's premier trade sourcing and procurement hub for highly sought-after kitchen and bathroom needs, the exhibitions will attract kitchen and bathroom enthusiasts or those looking to find a one-stop destination to curate their needs in the culinary and design industry.

The exhibition complements the specially curated exhibition for the food and beverage industry. Therefore, Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia Exhibition will also showcase Indonesia's top chefs and food experts, allowing homeowners to gain inspiration on making their kitchen alive with skillful cooking demonstrations by the well-known chefs and their intriguing recipes.

Previously planned to be staged on 23 – 26 March 2022, the organizer of Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia has decided on a later staging. Given the increased level of Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement (PPKM) and spiked in infections owing to the Omicron variant of the covid-19 virus, this decision is necessary. The move to stage Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia in May 2022 weighed on optimism that international travel borders and restrictions will be eased, resulting in a more dynamic and confident industry.

Mrs Rini Sumardi, Director of PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), stated, "the decision to stage Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia in May 2022 is conscientious, as we rely on sensory experiences for visitors to curate their needs with direct visual perspectives. From touching the textures of surfaces, the onsite demonstrations of kitchen appliances, to testing kitchen equipment firsth and, a physical exhibition can uniquely deliver this desired visit experience. We look forward to 18 – 21 May 2022, where we can meet each other face-to-face at the fairground."

The following edition will be staged from 21-24 September 2022 at the same venue, Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia. The exhibition will focus more on the designs of kitchen and bathrooms. Sought by visitors seeking home improvements, homeowners, kitchen & bath specialists, and real estate developers, Kitchen + Bathroom provides innovative solution as the country is going through vast and dynamic transformation to meet higher living standards. There are also exhibits featuring furniture manufacturing components, industrial design, and architecture sectors that will influence a stronger desire for quality homewares and bathroom facilities.

The exhibition will also be held in conjunction with the well-known IFMAC. Mirroring IFMAC's focus on in-demand offerings, the exhibition will feature more products from renowned suppliers and manufacturers who have the latest and in-trend state-of-the-art technologies, equipment, furniture fittings and accessories for interior finish and design improvement works.

Mrs Sumardi added, "Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia has always been a sought-after exhibition, where visitors with home improvement ideas come to identify products that meet their curated designs. Kitchen + Bathroom Indonesia’s second edition in 2022 will cater to the demand in the second half of the year.”
